This is a beautiful period hotel. It is tastefully decorated and feels timelessly elegant. Not a scrap of modern blonde wood anywhere! We were warmly greeted and invited to take a seat in the very comfortable sitting room whilst completing the check in process. Our bedroom was towards the back of the house, it was comfortable, warm and restful. The tea/coffee facilities were generous and the bathroom spotless with lovely toiletries and thick, soft white towels. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the pillows perfect and we both had the best nights sleep for a while. Breakfast was hot and plentiful with both continental and full English breakfast available. If you are looking for a generic, corporate and bland hotel, then Beech House is not for you. But if you want a warm welcome, a comfortable bed and a sumptuous breakfast… well book now!

The host was particularly helpful even before my arrival, as I needed assistance with navigation as I could not use Satnav. After a fraught drive on 2 motorways & despite enjoying the beautiful scenery due to an unexpected detour, I felt relieved to arrive at such a 'homely' looking hotel. Not here the usual long reception desk which graces many chain hotels, but a fine gentleman making me feel very welcome, who carried my bag for me & gave me a choice of two rooms, both on the ground floor. as I'd requested. Such a comfortable bed too & the best nights sleep I'd had for a week and woke to the sound of birds singing. Continental breakfast 1st day but full English on my 2nd morning, before my drive back 'up north'. Such an enjoyable stay so it's 5 Stars from me !

Friendly welcome and we got to choose our room! Liked being shown round and out to the garden so settled in easily after a long journey The location is fab especially if you are walking, or on bike -which we usually are - directly opposite a Beefeater, just up the road from a Park run or large park to run in, on bus route to Reading and buses run frequently. Lovely and clean throughout Great breakfast cooked or continental, fresh milk for your room Secluded sun facing garden to relax in, and you can dawn chorus

We stayed at this hotel as a family for just over a week, while here we suffered a medical emergency. The staff were incredible & ensured we were looked after in a time of need, ensuring our granddaughter could stay an extra few days. Particularly Nazlee went above and beyond for us always. Written on the behalf of my grandparents, I can’t thank you enough for the help and support while we stayed with you! The beds were also extremely comfortable, the showers incredible and the breakfast was lovely too!

Great location - easy from motorway, minutes from town and free parking. Good size rooms - clean, comfortable and quiet. Great shower. Friendly, professional and thoughtful welcome - mindful of the weather forecast that said it was going to be very hot, they took extra time to check I was happy with the nice and cool room they'd selected. The whole building is very well-maintained and there is a beautiful, well-looked after garden at the back. I repeatedly use this hotel when visiting family.
